We hope that you find our website easy to navigate. If you have any difficulty at all, please Contact us.

To help you find our villages and churches, a map is provided on the page Where we are.

Each of the churches has its own page and perhaps also links to other resources. The Pocklington diary lists meetings and events in the All Saints Pocklington church building.

The Special Services page provides information that will help you to prepare for Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals.

The Pocklington Group of Churches is supported by a large and active Ministry Team whose members provide a regular pattern of services in every church.

The Link, printed and circulated every two months, provides church and community news to the eight villages.

Our Safeguarding page has important information about who can be contacted in an emergency and also includes other important links about Safer Recruitment and Data Protection.

Welcome!

Our group of churches forms the Benefice of Pocklington Wold in the East Riding of Yorkshire and the Diocese of York. You can be sure of a very warm welcome in all of our seven churches.

Pocklington is the largest settlement and, at this time, growing quickly in size. This busy market town will soon exceed 10,000 inhabitants. Recent archaeological finds confirm that this was an important site in the Iron Age and Roman times.

All Saints Pocklington has ancient roots and is a hub of activity for the local and wider community.

The six village churches are important centres for meeting and worship. They are set in, or at the foot of, The Yorkshire Wolds. This stunning countryside is a much loved and well kept secret; David Hockney has been known to set up his easel nearby.

The Group Newsletter is published online every week and is also available in print on request. It is includes information about the services being held on the coming Sunday.
